Five of the stories earned 5 stars, one of the stories deserves no more than 2 stars
I read the entire collection, first as a kindle unlimited borrow, and upon loving the first four books in the collection and knowing I'd want to read them again, found myself compelled to buy the boxed set. Story 5: The Perfect Christmas Gift by Gail L. Jenner is my one two-star read. The story began in entirely the wrong place, and wasn't a romance. The sheriff might have been a worthy hero, the soon-to-be-former husband a real jerk, but nothing about the story redeemed itself. The remaining five stories all earned full marks. I couldn't give the bundle fewer than five to somehow mar the reputations of the tales by Coverstone, Washburn, Patton, Spencer, and Hanson. All five of these authors have earned my interest, and I'll definitely purchase and read more by them. It's a real shame that the editor and Prairie Rose Press didn't do something to ensure all of the novellas in this set were of similar quality. The compilation was very cleanly edited. Typos were rare and few and far between. An occasional dropped punctuation or extraneous quotation mark, and one case where the wrong word (a dropped letter, 'his' became 'is') sneaked through. Well worth the read, with reservations noted.

Wonderful read.
I loved each story of new life, second chances, new love and hope. Each story had something to tell that all of us could and can relate to. Faith is the biggest one but love and help from friends, loved ones and strangers make life happen. The authors each did a wonderful job with the characters and plots.

Enjoyable cowboy Christmas stories
I enjoyed this series of books. There are five books and they are all different in writing style. It made it enjoyable to read since they weren't all the same. Each story is a sweet Christmas romance between a cowboy and a lady! If you're looking for something light and that will leave you feeling good, I recommend these books.

A great Christmas read
I loved this anthology with some of my favorite authors. It gave me a feeling of good will toward and told some great stories. I highly recommend this group if you need a pick - me- up and to believe in the good will of man.

A thoroughly enjoyable holiday collection!!
This collection of short novellas offers sweet Christmas romances set in the old west. I enjoyed reading each one. In A Christmas Groom, a confederate soldier returns home to Arizona Territory with plans to marry his sweetheart. Unfortunately, she thought he was dead and plans to wed another man. Unraveling this painful predicament made me ache for everyone involved—I couldn’t put the story down until I knew Tom and Mariah would find each other once again. Ms. Coverstone has done an excellent job creating two memorable characters. In Widelooping A Christmas Cowboy, Clay has rescued Jessie from a Comanche raiding party only to discover that her outlaw brothers have been rustling his cattle. This leaves Clay in a moral dilemma since he’s become quite sweet on Jessie. I loved the interplay between these two characters and urge Ms. Washburn to give them their own full-length book. In Another Auld Lang Syne, Hudson Meade is hurrying home to spend Christmas with his wife and children when he runs into an old love. As they reminisce, he realizes the past heartbreak he endured was all for the best. I’m pretty sure Ms. Patton references the Dan Fogelberg song ‘Same Old Lang Syne’—a favorite of mine—throughout the story, lending a melancholy tone that fits perfectly with the gratitude that Meade feels at the end for his family. In Silver and Gold, an ex-con must set things right regarding a child he recently learns is his, and he seeks the help of a local woman filled with a deep resentment over the death of her husband. Healing these wounds is at the heart of this story of two hardened souls learning to love again. I always enjoy a tale by Ms. Spencer and this one is no exception. In The Perfect Christmas Gift, Ms. Jenner has presented us a complicated story of a disintegrating marriage and how love can blossom in the most unexpected places. Katharine has been abandoned by her fortune-seeking spouse and lives with her brother-in-law, whose possessive nature soon causes her to fear for her life. But a newly-appointed sheriff steps in to help the woman, falling for her in the process. This challenging storyline is handled very well by Ms. Jenner and I was entranced by the story throughout. In Every Knee Shall Bend, Sadie, a mail-order bride, is left to care for three children not her own when her groom dies immediately after they’re wed. When the groom’s brother arrives, both he and Sadie are drawn together amidst several tragic circumstances. Ms. Hanson deftly weaves a heartwarming atmosphere into the happily-ever-after, and the title refers not to the humans, but the animals. This story will fill your spirit.

Really enjoyed this
Each of these stories was unique and not typical of the genre, with sweet endings that weren't always sewn up neatly but offered promise for the future of the characters. Enjoyed that tremendously. Solid writing, characters with depth despite these being short stories. Will be reading more from these authors now! I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This book exceeded expectations.

Intrigue, suspense, love, angst!! It's all in there. Great book.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of these books. I will now be following all of the authors who contributed to the 4 book boxed set. There was intrigue, compromise, love, danger, etc. Very entertaining. I was given a copy of these books to read and my review is my own.

Great Collection of Christmas Romances
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of Christmas romances set on the old West. Each had its unique twist that kept me reading. Some, the plot kept me guessing, others the characters pulled me. All were good. Well-written and better than average for this genre.
