Well, I am still reeling……but excited about my great news announcement!
Coauthor Bernita Tickner and I will be doing a State of Jefferson book signing at Medford, Oregon’s COSTCO, on August 1, 2009.
How did it happen? I’m not sure, except to say that Arcadia Publishing pushed the right buttons and in our publicist’s own words, they ‘hand selected’ us to participate. WOW, is all I can say.
How many other authors will be there? I don’t know? When will it occur? I’m not sure. Details are still being arranged, so a follow up bulletin will be in the air soon.
For anyone wanting to know more about our State of Jefferson books, we have two: IMAGES OF THE STATE OF JEFFERSON and THE STATE OF JEFFERSON: THEN & NOW. The second volume placed as a Finalist in the 2008 NEXT GENERATION Awards from Independent Book Publishers for Regional Nonfiction.
Both books, of course, serve up the history of the original movement, but they each feature more than 200 photos of the area, including its pristine and incredible natural landscapes, along with its people, events, and history.
So, join us if you’re able and stop by and visit. And if there are any Women of the West writers or Western Writers of America in the area, I’d love to have you give a ‘hallo!’
That's fantastic! Maybe we can talk Costco into moving the free food vendors around the book signing section so you can have the best of both worlds … food and books. Congratulations!
Heard you on the radio this morning — sounded terrific! That was great PR for the book and I hope the Costco shindig goes well. We were there yesterday and saw the nice display with the Jefferson books in it.
